Acceptable Use Policy

What you can and can't do with a DejavuHost server.

Note: this policy is part of our Terms of Service. It's written in plain language and covers the common cases — we may act on activity not explicitly listed here if it's clearly abusive or puts other customers/our infrastructure at risk.

Zero tolerance: child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form is absolutely prohibited. Any account found hosting or distributing it is terminated immediately without notice and reported to the relevant authorities. No exceptions.

// Prohibited Activities

You may not use a DejavuHost server to:

Host or distribute illegal content under the laws applicable to the server's location or your own jurisdiction.
Send spam, unsolicited bulk email, or run open mail relays.
Launch or participate in DDoS attacks, port scanning, brute-forcing, or any attack against systems you don't own or have permission to test.
Distribute malware, ransomware, botnets, or command-and-control infrastructure.
Host phishing pages or anything designed to impersonate another person, brand, or service to steal credentials/funds.
Infringe copyright or trademarks (see DMCA process below).
Run public proxies, Tor exit nodes, or VPN endpoints used primarily to mask abuse (private/personal VPN use is fine).
Deliberately abuse shared resources in a way that degrades service for other customers (e.g. resource exhaustion outside your plan's limits).
Host content sexualizing minors in any form, or any content otherwise illegal to host.

// What's Fine

Standard legal use of a VPS/dedicated server is fine, including: personal projects, web/app hosting, game servers, self-hosted tools, legal adult content (where permitted by law and not involving minors), and cryptocurrency wallets/nodes. Crypto mining is allowed only if disclosed to us in advance and within your plan's resource limits — undisclosed mining that spikes resource usage may be treated as resource abuse.

// Copyright & DMCA

If you believe content on a DejavuHost server infringes your copyright, email support@dejavuhost.com with the material in question, its location, and your contact details. We'll investigate and, where a claim is valid, notify the customer and require removal or take the content down ourselves.

// Reporting Abuse

See something abusive coming from a DejavuHost IP? Email support@dejavuhost.com with logs, timestamps, and the IP/hostname involved. We investigate every report.

// Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may: warn you and ask for a fix, suspend the service pending your response, or terminate immediately for severe/repeated violations (attacks in progress, CSAM, active malware distribution). Suspension or termination for an AUP violation does not entitle you to a refund (see our Terms of Service).
